Destiny is a multiplayer first-person shooter video game series developed by Bungie and published (until 2019) by Activision. As of 2019, two installments of the series have been released, Destiny 1 in 2014 and Destiny 2 in 2017. Both games have featured game modes in Player vs Environment (See PvE) and Player vs Player (See PvP) settings, while Destiny 2 introduced a new PvEvP gamemode, known as Gambit.

Some of the PvE activities included in Destiny 1 & 2 are:
- Main Story Missions
- 3-player Strikes
- 4-player "Reckoning"
- 6-player Raids

Some of the PvP activities included in Destiny 1 & 2 are:
- 6-player Quickplay
- 4-player Competitive
- 6-player Competitive (Iron Banner)

There are currently two PvEvP activities in Destiny 2. These are Gambit and Gambit Prime. Both have relatively the same ruleset, with Gambit Prime being reduced from Gambit's 3 rounds to a single round. There are also slight changes to the boss phase in Gambit Prime.
